In order for apps like Messenger to show up on top of other apps, the floating windows or pop-ups feature must be enabled on the Android smartphone so that apps can show up on top of other apps and provide quick access to its features.

- Tap on Apps
- Tap on Special app access
- Tap on Display over other apps
- Choose an App
- Enable or disable Allow display over other apps
