Add a new contact

With a Huawei device, you can add not only a new contact to your contact list, you can also add informations like the adress, a birthday, relations, website or notes in addition to name and number. You can also add a ringtone for each contact.

Android 10 (EMUI 10.0)
Step 1: Open Contacts
Step 2: Tap on Add
Step 3: Type in a name
Step 4: Tap on Phone number
Step 5: Type in a number
Step 6: Tap on Add more fields
Step 7: Add more contact informations and tap on save

  7. Add more contact informations and tap on save

Delete a contact

Saved contacts can be deleted easily from your Huawei device, even if they are saved as a google contact. If you delete a contact, you can not recover it. 

Note: you can delete more contacts at once if you open the contact settings and tap on "organise contacts".

Step 2: Tap and hold the contact you want to delete
Step 3: Tap on delete
Step 4: Confirm with  Delete

Mark a contact as favorite

On your Huawei device saved contacts can be added to a favorite list so they will show up in a separate contact list too. This separate contact list with all of your favourite contacts will show up in your call app.

Step 3: Tap on Favourite

Add contact to homescreen

You can add one or more contacts at once to the homescreen of your Huawei device. This is best if there are contacts you need a lot. You can also choose if the contact will be called or messaged.

Step 3: Tap on More
Step 4: Tap on Create shortcut
Step 5: Choose between View contact , Call or Message

Scan business card

You can scan business cards and QR codes with the Huawei smartphone to add the relevant data to your contact list.
