Change camera resolution
Depending on which Huawei device you are using, you can change the resolution of your camera. The image format (4:3/16:9/18,6:9) will be changed too.
Note: The options are depending on the model in use and can vary.




- Open Camera
- Open the settings
- Tap on Resolution
- Choose a resolution
Location tag
If wished, you can save the location of a picture or a video. With a location tag, you can find pictures easier within your files by searching for the location where you have taken them. By default, this function is deactivated.

- Activate or deactivate location tag
Watermark
By default, the Huawei device will add a watermark or sticker to each and every picture. On the bottom left side of your device, you will then see by which device the picture was taken. If you do not want this, you can deactivate the feature.

Assistive grid
If we take a lot of pictures with our Huawei device, and you need a little guidance, you can activate a assistive grid to help you. You can orientate yourself to get a straight picture or a nice cut of the horizon. The grid is divided 3x3.

Camera audio control
You can activate the audio control on your Huawei device to take pictures by saying "Cheese" or talking loudly.

- Tap on Audio control
- Activate or deactivate Audio control
- Choose between Say cheese to take photos or Speak loudly to take photos
Capture smiles
If this function is activated on your Huawei device, your camera is searching for a smile and if it found one, it will automatically take a camera.

Object tracking
If you activate this option, you can focus on an object by tapping on it on the display, and the camera will track the object even when you move your Huawei device.

Ultra snapshot
If your Huawei device is on standby, you can take a picture or open up the camera app by pressing the volume down button twice. This works only if Ultra snapshot is activated.

- Choose Take a snapshot, Open camera, or Off
HDR
When HDR (High Dynamic Range) is enabled on the Huawei smartphone, multiple images are captured and combined into one, combining the different brightness tones for optimized image quality.



- Open the Camera app
- Tap on More
- Enable or disable HDR
Default volume button control
Using the volume button controls, we can set whether we want to change the media or ringtone volume on the Huawei smartphone. The media volume is set by default.




- Open the Settings
- Tap on Sound & vibration
- Tap on Default volume button control
- Set Media or Ringtone
Set memory card as preferred storage
As the title suggests, we can set the Huawei smartphone's memory card as the primary storage location for photos or videos when it is inserted, and serial photos will still be stored in the device's internal memory.

Video resolution
Depending on the device model, the video resolution of the camera app can be set on the Huawei smartphone. This option
can be accessed in the camera settings after selecting the Video mode. According to the Huawei device and its hardware, the following options are available:
- (18,7:9) 1080p at 30 fps
- (16:9) 1080p at 60 fps
- (16:9) 1080p at 30 fps (recommended)
- (16:9) 720p at 30 fps
