Emergency SOS
The Huawei smartphone can make an emergency call and also send an SOS SMS to selected contacts that contains information about your location. For this you have to press the on / off button 5 times in quick succession.
Note: In this guide, we activate emergency help with an SOS message and add a contact (multiple contacts are possible). Other options can be accessed in the same way. Please follow the instructions on the screen.

- Open the settings
- Tap on Security
- Tap on Emergency SOS
- Activate or deactivate Also send SOS message
- Tap on Emergency contacts
- Tap on Add emergency contacts
- Choose a contact
Emergency information
In order to help first responders, paramedics and the rescue service in case of an emergency, we can add so-called emergency information on the Huawei smartphone, which can also be accessed via the lock screen in case of an emergency. In addition to the name and address, we can add other important details about the health condition and/or regular medication intake. The following options can be edited:
- Name
- Address
- Blood type
- Allergies
- Medications
- Organ donor
- Medical conditions and additional info

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Security
- Tap on Emergency SOS
- Tap on Emergency information to add more details
Add emergency contacts
If the emergency SOS was enabled on the Huawei smartphone, an emergency contact was added immediately. Additional contacts can be added at any time.
Note: Up to three emergency contacts can be added.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Security
- Tap on Emergency SOS
- Tap on Emergency contacts to add up to three contacts
Emergency Location Service (ELS)
When sending an emergency call or text message, the location of the Huawei smartphone is automatically sent with it to inform first responders and rescue workers. If Google Location Services are disabled, Emergency Location Service (ELS) can be remotely activated to determine an exact location, but the feature is disabled after the emergency call.
Note: A location release by the network provider is possible.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Location
- Tap on Emergency Location Service
- Enable or disable Send ELS Location
