Rename SIM card

We can rename the SIM card on the Huawei smartphone to differ. By default the name of the carrier will be shown.

Android 10 (EMUI 10.0)
Step 1: Open the settings
Step 2: Tap on Mobile network
Step 3: Tap on SIM management
Step 4: Tap on Edit
Step 5: Type in a name and confirm with OK

Activate/deactivate SIM card

If you are using Dual-SIM on your Huawei smartphone, you can deactivate one SIM card if wished. You wont receive calls or messages over this number as long as the card is deactivated.

Default-SIM for mobile datas

If you are using Dual SIM on your Huawei device, you can set a standard SIM for mobile data usage.

Step 4: Choose the default-SIM for mobile data

Default-SIM for calls

You can set the default SIM card for calls on your Huawei device. Direct calls, like for example over Quick dial will be made automatically over the set SIM card.

Step 4: Tap on Default calling SIM
Step 5: Choose a default calling SIM

Switch data connection during calls

If this function is activated on your Huawei smartphone, the data connection will be changed to the other SIM  in case of a VoLTE (Voice over LTE) call. This is so you can still surf while calling.
