Reset all system settings

This function resets all settings on the Huawei smartphone. Data or documents are not deleted. Only the settings are reset, including:

  • Network settings (including WiFi passwords)
  • Fingerprints
  • Face Recognition data
  • Lock screen password

Step 1:  Open the  settings
Step 2:  Tap on  System & updates
Step 3:  Tap on  Reset
Step 4:  Tap on  Reset all settings
Step 5:  Tap on  Reset all settings
Step 6:  Type in your  lockscreen PIN
Step 7:  Confirm with  Reset all settings

Reset network settings

With this function all network settings are deleted. This includes WLAN, mobile data and also the Bluetooth settings with the paired devices. If Dual SIM is used, you can choose the SIM card whose network settings are to reset.

Step 6:  Type in your  PIN

Factory reset phone

With the "Reset phone" function, the Huawei smartphone is reset to the factory settings or delivery status. All data is permanently removed from the internal memory. This includes:

  • The Google account (removed from the device)
  • System and app data (and the respective settings)
  • Installed apps
  • Music, videos, photos
  • All user data

Reset accessibility settings

After configuring the accessibility settings on the Huawei smartphone which not produced the desired result, we can reset them in a few steps.

Step 1:  Open the  Settings
Step 2:  Tap on  Accessibility features
Step 3:  Tap on  Accessibility
Step 4:  Open the  menu
Step 5:  Tap on  Restore default settings
Step 6:  Confirm with  OK

Reset app preferences

If one or more apps on the Huawei smartphone no longer function properly, or if they have errors, we can reset the app settings, resetting all the settings and priorities that have
been made in the following areas:

  • Disabled apps
  • Disabled app notifications
  • Default apps
  • Background data restrictions for apps
  • Permission restrictions

Note: The saved app data will not be deleted.

Reset camera settings

The settings from the camera app on the Huawei smartphone can be quickly reset to the default settings if we do not get the desired result.

Note: Only the camera settings will be reset; the photos or videos taken will not be affected and will not be deleted.
