Huawei How to Set up Text Correction

The autocorrection of the Huawei device makes it extremely easy to type. The corrected word is displayed in the middle of the suggestion bar. Despite all of this, it can happen that the Huawei smartphone does not insert the desired word and thus, albeit rarely, funny content is created. You can decide for yourself whether the auto correction should be (de-) activated.

If this is activated on your Huawei device, the first word in each sentence or after a punctuation mark will be capitalized automatically.

Using the gesture input on the Huawei smartphone, we can choose between the following simplified types of operation or functions:

• Flow: Swipe your finger from letter to letter to write words.
• Gestures: Swipe left to delete a word or swipe down to hide the keyboard.

Note: If Flow or swipe on the keyboard is activated, we can determine whether spaces should be added.

If this function is activated on the Huawei smartphone, a double-tap on the space bar inserts a period and then a space.

By tapping the space bar on the keyboard, the suggested word is automatically inserted by the Huawei smartphone without having to finish typing.

Note: Auto correction must be activated for this.

You can determine the response time of the long key press on the Huawei smartphone, from when a background symbol is inserted from the keyboard. The default is 450ms. The delay can be increased up to a maximum of 1600ms, or reduced to at least 100ms.

For example, if you write a message in Messenger or WhatsApp, each letter that you tap is briefly highlighted or displayed as a short popup. you can switch this function on / off in the keyboard settings of the Huawei smartphone.
