USB debugging
After activating the developer options on the Huawei smartphone, USB debugging can be enabled, which is necessary if the user wants to root the device. Furthermore, this function is required by the MyPhoneExplorer application to synchronize contacts.
Note: Enabling USB debugging is only recommended if it is actually used, after which the feature should be disabled.





- Open the Settings
- Tap on System & updates
- Tap on Developer options
- Enable or disable USB debugging
- Confirm with OK
Enable developer options
The developer options can be unlocked on the Huawei smartphone by tapping the build number seven times in System Preferences.
Most of the developer options settings are irrelevant for private use of the device, with exceptions such as USB debugging.
After tapping the build number seven times, we will be prompted to enter the unlock password if it has been set, after which the developer options will be unlocked and can be found under System & updates.




- Open the Settings
- Tap on About phone
- Tap seven times on the Build number
- Watch the pop-up
Disable developer options
The developer options can be turned off at any time on the Huawei smartphone by simply navigating to the overview and flipping the top button.

- Disable the Developer options
