Flash notification light

If you activate this function, the Huawei smartphone visually shows you, that there is a new notification.

Note: The setting depends on the model and may not be supported by every Huawei device.

Step 3:  Tap on  More notification settings
Step 4:  Activate or deactivate  Flash notification light

Allow notifications for certain apps

By default, all app notifications are displayed on the Huawei smartphone. If we do not want notifications from certain app (s), you can deactivate them individually.

Step 3:  Tap on  More notification settings
Step 4:  Activate or deactivate  Allow notifications

Turn App notifications on/off

Unwanted notifications of an app can be deactivated manually on the Huawei smartphone. The respective notification types can vary from app to app and are switched on by default. Messenger apps, such as WhatsApp, may have other notification settings, such as chat / group or story notifications, which can be individually switched on or off.

The banner notifications on the Huawei smartphone are small pop-up windows that pop up for a few seconds on the status bar to inform us about a new notification.
This notification method is mostly used by social media and messenger apps, such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram or Instagram. The banners can be allowed or blocked individually for each app.

Individual app notification sound

We can set the notification tone individually for each app on the Huawei smartphone, for example, to more quickly distinguish between Messenger and WhatsApp messages.

Gentle notifications for an app

If we receive messages or notifications on the Huawei smartphone, we are notified acoustically, haptically by vibration and optically by default. If we want to completely mute notifications of an app and receive a discreet display, we can enable or disable gentle notifications at any time.
This feature will silence the notifications and only show them in the notificacition panel.

Flash notification light

If we enable this feature, the Huawei smartphone will visually alert us of a new notification.

App icon badges

We can enable or disable the notification badges for each individual, or for all apps on the Huawei smartphone. The app icon notification badges show the amount of unread notifications on the app icon.

Temporarily delay a notification

We can temporarily pause received notifications from apps on the Huawei smartphone, hiding the individual notification for a specified time. We have the following options to set a delay:

  • 15 minutes
  • 30 minutes
  • 1 hour

Step 3:  Open the  Settings
Step 4:  Tap on  Delay
Step 5:  Choose  Delay by 15  /  30 minutes  or  Delay by 1 hour
Step 6:  Confirm with  OK
