Auto-download MMS
If you receive a message on your Huawei device, and it is a MMS, your device will download the attached files automatically. This is activated by default. If you need more control over your data plan, you can also disable this function and download MMS manually.
Note: If this is activated, you will be asked for settings regarding downloading MMS automatically while roaming is active.





- Open Messages
- Open the menu
- Open the settings
- Tap on Advanced
- Activate or deactivate Auto-downloading MMS
Use simple characters
If this is activated on your Huawei device, all special characters are converted within an SMS so you wont waste too many characters.
Note: This option is best if you don't have a SMS-Flat.

- Activate or deactivate Use simple characters
Receive SMS delivery reports
If this is activated on your Huawei device, you will receive a delivery report which shows, that your SMS reached its destination.

Service messages
If you do not want to receive service messages from your provider, you can deactivate them in the message settings.

SIM card messages
If you still have older SMS messages, for example from your beloved ones, on your SIM card, don't worry, they are not lost. You can get them back over the menu of the Huawei smartphone.

Messages for web
We can pair the Huawei smartphone with the PC or laptop using QR Code to receive and send messages directly on the computer by visiting Messages for web on the computer's browser and scanning the displayed QR Code on the Huawei device to authenticate.




- Open the Messages app
- Open the menu
- Tap on Messages for web
- Tap on QR code scanner and follow the instructions on screen
Spam protection
We can enable or disable spam protection for received messages on the Huawei smartphone, which detects spam messages and sends information to Google, without disclosing the phone number or message content.
