LG How to Manage App-Shortcuts on Home Screen

Add Shortcut
If the app drawer is enabled on the LG device, apps are not automatically added to the home screen, and you can also add shortcuts manually in this mode.




- Wipe upwards to open the app overview
- Tap an hold the desired App shortcut
- Drag the app shortcut to the top
- Drag the app shortcut to the desired position
Remove App Shortcut
App shortcuts set on the Home screen can be removed in two ways, but they can only be removed if the App Overview is enabled. If all apps are displayed on the LG home screen, shortcuts cannot be removed, only uninstalled.



- Tap an hold the desired App shortcut
- Drag the shortcut to Remove
- Release the shortcut to remove it
App Drawer
On the start screen of the LG device, all installed apps are displayed next to the widgets. There is no separate app overview ex works, but it can be activated in the settings. In addition, "EasyHome" can also be used to activate a simplified display with a simpler layout and a larger font size.





- Tap and hold a free area on the home screen
- Tap on Home screen settings
- Tap on Select Home
- Choose between Home and Home & app drawer
- Confirm with OK
App Drawer Button
When the App button is activated on the LG device, an App button will appear in the bottom menu bar on the home screen, and tapping it will open the App drawer.
Note: This function is only available if Home & App Menu is selected as the user interface.




- Tap and hold a free area on the home screen
- Tap on Home screen settings
- Tap on Select Home
- Enable or Disable App drawer icon
Hide Apps
Whether on the home screen or in the app overview, apps can be hidden/hidden on the LG device. In the home screen settings, apps that should not be visible can be selected. If you want them to be displayed again, you only have to remove them from the selection.
Note: With this function the shortcuts are simply hidden and the app is still visible in the settings or in other lists.





- Tap and hold a free area on the home screen

- Select all desired Apps
- Confirm with Done
Notification Badge
On the LG smartphone, notification points (app icon indicator) with numbers are displayed by default. This means that a small badge with the number of notifications is displayed in the upper right corner above the respective app icon. Alternatively, the number can also be deactivated, whereby an "N" is displayed instead of the number.
If this function is not desired on the LG device, the notification points can be completely disabled in the settings.







- Open the Settings
- Tap on General
- Tap on Apps & notifications
- Tap on Notifications
- Tap on Icon badges
- Choose between Hide badges, Show with number and Show without number
- Confirm with OK
Sort apps
Apps on the LG device are sorted by default by the name (alphabetically) on the home screen, but apps can also be sorted chronologically by installation time.
Note: This setting only affects the start screen itself, if the app overview is switched on, a sorting setting must be selected there.
Note 2: If this setting is changed, all manual placements on the start screen will be discarded.





- Tap and hold a free area on the home screen
- Tap on Home screen settings
- Tap on Sort apps by
- Choose between Name (Alphabetically) and Download date
- Confirm with Sort
