Local backup Restore Backup Enable or Disable Google Backup

Local backup

On the LG device you can create a backup which is saved locally on the internal memory or on the memory card. In addition to creating a backup manually, you can also create a daily backup automatically. The following data is saved in the backup:

  • Start and lock screen
  • Personal data (contacts, messages, call list, calendar etc.)
  • Media files
  • LG App data
  • Downloaded Apps
  • Settings

Step 1:  Open the  Settings
Step 2:  Tap on  General
Step 3:  Tap on  Backup
Step 4:  Tap on  Backup & restore
Step 5:  Tap on  Backup
Step 6:  Tap on  Back up to  to change storage for backup
Step 7:  Choose between  Internal storage  and  SD card
Step 8:  Enable or Disable desired  data  to backup
Step 9:  Tap on  Start
Step 10:  Confirm with  OK
Step 11:  Tap on  Later
Step 12:  Tap on  Done
  1. Open the Settings
  2. Tap on General
  3. Tap on Backup
  4. Tap on Backup & restore
  5. Tap on Backup
  6. Tap on Back up to to change storage for backup
  7. Choose between Internal storage and SD card
  8. Enable or Disable desired data to backup
  9. Tap on Start
  10. Confirm with OK
  11. Tap on Later
  12. Tap on Done

Restore Backup

If a local backup was previously created on the LG smartphone, it can also be restored, and in addition to the entire backup, only parts of the backup, such as calendar and contacts, can be restored.

Note: After recovery, the LG smartphone must be restarted.

Step 1:  Open the  Settings
Step 2:  Tap on  General
Step 3:  Tap on  Backup
Step 4:  Tap on  Backup & restore
Step 5:  Tap on  Restore
Step 6:  Choose desired  Restore-file
Step 7:  Select/Unselect desired  files  to restore
Step 8:  Tap on  Next
Step 9:  Confirm with  Restore
Step 10:  Tap on  Restart phone
  1. Open the Settings
  2. Tap on General
  3. Tap on Backup
  4. Tap on Backup & restore
  5. Tap on Restore
  6. Choose desired Restore-file
  7. Select/Unselect desired files to restore
  8. Tap on Next
  9. Confirm with Restore
  10. Tap on Restart phone

Enable or Disable Google Backup

In addition to local backup, the LG smartphone also offers the option of automatically creating a backup in a cloud (Google Drive). The advantage here is that the backup can be accessed from any logged-in device. If the LG device is ever defective, the backup is also still available.

Step 3:  Tap on  Backup
Step 4:  Tap on  Google backup
Step 5:  Enable or Disable  Back up to Google Drive
Step 6:  Tap on  Account
Step 7:  Confirm with  OK
