LG How to Manage Contacts

Contacts that are already in one memory or account on the LG smartphone can be copied to another, for example, it is possible to copy the contacts from the internal memory to the memory card.

If we want to back up, share or transfer contacts from the LG smartphone to another device, we can export them as a vCard file, which can be exported to internal memory, memory card or connected (attached) devices.

If we have contacts in the form of a vCard file as a backup, we can import them into the LG smartphone. When importing, we are given the choice of where to import the contacts. In addition to the phone memory, memory card or SIM card, an account such as Google can also be selected.

Contacts stored on the LG smartphone can be shared with others. Android's share function allows contacts to be shared as a vCard (.vcf) in a variety of ways, including direct connections such as WLAN, Bluetooth, NFC or USB as well as via apps such as Messenger or WhatsApp.

It's not uncommon for your LG smartphone to display duplicate contacts. If there is a contact with the same name, phone number or email address, the LG device will detect this and ask for confirmation. However, after importing contacts, you can display them twice. If you only want one location, you can merge the duplicate contacts.

Note: Double contacts are merged together and can be separated at any time later.

If multiple contacts are shared on the LG smartphone, a single vCard file is created for each contact, and if desired, the setting can be set to create only a single file, making sharing easier.

Note: Not all devices or programs can read a collective file (vCard).
