LG How to Set up Mobile Network

By default, the APN data is automatically installed on the LG device via the SIM card or network, but if the configuration has not been completed correctly or has not been done at all, the access point (APN) can also be added manually on the LG device.

Note: In some cases, after adding the APN data, the LG device must be restarted.

Incorrectly created or superfluous APN data (access points) can be quickly and easily deleted in the menu; the standard APN cannot be removed from the LG device.

Depending on the device model, a 2G, 3G or 4G (LTE) network is supported, and a preferred network mode can be selected on the LG device accordingly.

In addition to the automatic network search, the LG unit can also select the network manually, and once the network has been selected manually, it will not switch to another network if reception is also lost.

Depending on the environment and model, the network search can take a long time.

To ensure the best possible reception on your LG, it is recommended that you let the network be selected automatically. The LG always prefers to use the home network. If reception is too weak or breaks down, the device can also dial into a foreign network.

Note: This function should be used with caution near the border, especially with Switzerland; even in your home country, the device may be able to dial into a network in the neighboring country and may cause additional costs.

A Virtual Private Network offers many application possibilities for companies as well as private users. With a VPN it is possible, among other things, to encrypt data, to bypass location restrictions or to conceal traces on the Internet. Any VPN server can also be added on the LG.
