Change SIM Color

The default colour scheme for the LG device's SIM cards is set to blue/red by default, but the colours for the SIM cards can alternatively be changed to violet/orange.

The color selection may differ depending on the device/version.

Step 1:  Open the  Settings
Step 2:  Tap on  Dual SIM Card
Step 3:  Tap on  SIM card color theme
Step 4:  Choose desired  Theme

Enable or Disable SIM card

For LG devices with dual SIM function, the respective SIM card can be activated or deactivated. if the card is deactivated, no calls or messages will arrive. the SIM card is then treated as if it had not been inserted.

SIM card Icon

The number of the SIM card (1 or 2) is used as symbol by default on dual SIM devices from LG. Alternatively, the symbol can be changed to private, star, office or heart. In addition to the icon, which can be set separately for both SIM cards, the colour scheme can also be adapted.

Cost save mode

The cost saving mode allows you to assign a SIM card to each contact, and when the contact is called, the stored SIM card is used even if the other SIM card is active.

Mobile data during calls

It is currently not technically possible to make a call and use mobile data in the same network mode at the same time. 3G is used for mobile data if a call is made under 4G (LTE).

LG devices with Dual-SIM, on the other hand, have the function of using mobile data via the other, non-standard SIM card during a call, making it possible to make a call via LTE (VoLTE) and use LTE for mobile data at the same time. After the call, the mobile data is switched back to the standard SIM card.

Display name of SIM card

By default, the SIM card on the LG device is named SIM card 1 and SIM card 2, and the SIM card name is displayed in different places on the phone, such as in the quick settings.

The name of the SIM card can be renamed as desired in the settings.

Default SIM card for mobile data

For dual SIM devices from LG, a standard SIM card must be selected in addition to the regular setting for mobile data.

When the mobile data is switched on, the last stored SIM card is automatically used. The default SIM card can be changed in the dual SIM settings.
