Wi-Fi Passpoint
If desired, the LG device can automatically connect to Wi-Fi certified Passpoint networks.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Wi-Fi
- Open the Menu
- Tap on Advanced Wi-Fi
- Enable or Disable Passpoint
Forget a Wi-Fi Connection
Stored WLAN connections that are no longer needed should be removed from the LG device, otherwise the device will search for these networks with priority depending on the settings, which can lead to increased battery consumption.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Wi-Fi
- Open the Menu
- Tap on Saved Wi-Fi
- Tap on desired Network
- Tap on Forget
Connect to a Wi-Fi network
An activated WLAN is not sufficient to automatically access network devices or the Internet. A WLAN connection is usually established to a router, but can also be established to another smartphone or WLAN hotspot. However, the path to a successful connection always works the same on the LG device.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Wi-Fi
- Tap on desired Network
- Enter Password and tap on Connect
Restrict networks
WLAN networks have the problem that the data consumption of the LG device increases very quickly. This is because the device assumes that a WLAN connection does not incur any direct costs. At first glance, this is correct, but not in the case of chargeable WLAN packages such as those available in hotels, cruise ships or airports. A WLAN package with a volume of a few MB can quickly be used up in a few hours.
To prevent this from happening, the LG device has a "Restrict networks" function. If this is activated, the WLAN connection is equated with the mobile data connection. If, for example, the setting "Download only via WLAN" is activated in an app like Spotify, nothing happens due to the network restriction.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Mobile data
- Open the Menu
- Tap on Restrict networks
- Enable or Disable desired Network
Open Wi-Fi Notification
By default, the LG unit sends a notification when an open Wi-Fi network is found within range, and this Wi-Fi notification can be turned on and off in the wireless settings.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Wi-Fi
- Open the Menu
- Tap on Advanced Wi-Fi
- Enable or Disable Wi-Fi notification
Enable or Disable Wi-Fi
In order to use WLAN with your LG device and thus access a network, WLAN (Wi-Fi) must be switched on. The LG interface offers different ways to do this. This guide shows the regular way via the settings. WLAN can also be activated or deactivated via the quick settings.

- Open the Settings
- Enable or Disable Wi-Fi
