OnePlus How to Customize Contact List
OnePlus 139Table of contents
Choose displayed contacts
By default, all saved contacts from a Google Account or the OnePlus smartphone's internal memory are displayed as a list.
However, if we have contact groups or labels that contain, for example, work colleagues, we can always edit the display of contacts to separate private or professional contact information.

- Open the Contacts app
- Open the menu
- Tap on Customize view
- Select Customize
- Choose an account
- Select or deselect one or more categories
- Tap on Save
Default account for new contacts
We can set the default account for newly created contacts on the OnePlus smartphone so we don't always have to manually select the desired location during creation.
Once set, the new contacts are automatically stored in the desired account until this is changed.
Note: To temporarily change the location for new contacts, the account can be manually selected at the top of the screen during creation.
For example, if multiple Google accounts have been linked to the OnePlus device, all accounts will be displayed as possible contact stores.

- Open the Contacts app
- Open the menu
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Default account for new contacts
- Choose an account
Name format for contact list
In addition to sorting the displayed contacts, we can set the general name format of the contact list on the OnePlus smartphone and decide whether the stored contact data should be displayed with the first name or the last name first.

- Open the Contacts app
- Open the menu
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Name format
- Choose First name first or Last name first
Sort contacts by first name/last name
We can sort the contacts displayed in the Contacts app on the OnePlus smartphone by the first name or last name you have saved, if desired.

- Open the Contacts app
- Open the menu
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Sort by
- Choose First name or Last name
