Add Fingerprint
In addition to the first registered fingerprint ID, we can add more fingerprints, for example to allow unlocking with the left and right hand.
Up to five different fingerprint IDs can be stored on the OnePlus smartphone, which can also be named individually, as they are only stored as Finger 1 / 2 / 3... by default.
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Security & lock screen
- Tap on Fingerprint Unlock
- Enter the current pattern, PIN or password
- Tap on Add fingerprint and follow the instructions on screen
Rename fingerprint
If we have multiple fingerprint IDs registered on the OnePlus smartphone, we can rename them as we like to get a clear overview of all stored fingerprints, as they are only named Finger 1 / 2 / 3... by default.
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Security & lock screen
- Tap on Fingerprint Unlock
- Enter the current pattern, PIN or password
- Tap on a registered fingerprint
- Enter a name and tap OK
Remove fingerprint
Since up to five different fingerprint IDs can be registered or stored on the OnePlus smartphone, we can also remove them individually.
If we also delete the last fingerprint stored on the device, the unlock method and payment order via fingerprint will be automatically deactivated.
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Security & lock screen
- Tap on Fingerprint Unlock
- Enter the current pattern, PIN or password
- Tap on Delete
- Confirm with Delete
