OnePlus How to Manage Contacts
OnePlus 177Table of contents
Merge duplicate contacts
From time to time, contacts may appear twice in the Contacts app on the OnePlus smartphone, which is caused by saving Messenger apps, such as WhatsApp.
To keep track of the contacts list, we can merge duplicate contacts by selecting both.

- Open the Contacts app
- Tap and hold a contact
- Select the duplicated contact
- Open the menu
- Tap on Merge
Move contacts
Contacts stored on the OnePlus smartphone can be moved to another account at any time, and depending on where the contact is stored, it can be moved to the device's internal memory or a linked Google Account.
If a contact is moved, all stored information or details, such as the profile or contact photo, addresses and associated notes, are also moved.

- Open the Contacts app
- Choose a contact
- Open the menu
- Tap on Move to another account
- Choose an account
Share contacts
We may also share the contacts stored on the OnePlus smartphone with others to forward the phone number and related information.
You can choose which contact details to share, such as addresses, websites or birthday, directly from the Contacts app.
Once selected, the contact can be shared using the usual messaging or messenger apps, such as WhatsApp or Gmail.

- Open the Contacts app
- Choose a contact
- Open the menu
- Tap on Share
- Select the sharing information and tap on Continue
- Choose an app and follow the instructions on screen
Import contacts
We can store existing contacts from a SIM card or VCF file on the OnePlus smartphone to keep all data complete and secure at all times.
Note: Importing can be done to the device's internal memory or directly into a Google Account.

- Open the Contacts app
- Open the menu
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Import
- Choose Import contacts from .vcf file or SIM 1 / 2 and tap OK
- Choose Save imported contacts to Google account or Device
- Choose a .vcf file
Export contacts
The contacts stored on the OnePlus smartphone can only be exported to the device's internal memory as a VCF file, but this does not make it impossible to transfer the file.
After selecting the appropriate Google Account or internal memory, a VCF file can be saved directly.
Note: This function exports all contacts. To export individual contacts, the Share function must be used.

- Open the Contacts app
- Open the menu
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Export
- Choose an account and tap Export to .vcf file
- Choose a folder and tap Save
