OnePlus How to Manage SMS-Conversation

In order to keep track of the messages app on the OnePlus smartphone, conversations or chats that you do not want to delete or need at a later date can simply be archived.

This has the positive effect that they are stored securely and can always be retrieved if necessary.

Note: Archived conversations can be opened directly in the archive, or they can be restored to display them in the overview again.

Conversations or chats that have been archived for safekeeping can also be restored at any time to be displayed again on the start page of the OnePlus smartphone's messages app.

When we receive an SMS message with important details on the OnePlus smartphone, such as an address, phone number, or a one-time web page login confirmation code, we can copy and paste the entire message content to another location.

Note: To paste the content to another location, we tap and hold the appropriate text box and select the Paste button.

We can search a stored conversation in the messages app of the OnePlus smartphone for searched terms or keywords.

After entering the keyword we can use virtual arrow keys to search between the results found and those marked in yellow.

We can delete an entire conversation or chat at once without having to select each message, whether it's SMS or MMS, individually.

After deleting a conversation in the Messages app on the OnePlus smartphone, the messages contained therein cannot be restored.

We can mark all messages from existing conversations or chats on the OnePlus smartphone as read without having to open each individual conversation.

In addition to the option to delete an entire conversation in the Messages app on the OnePlus smartphone, we can also delete individual messages contained in it.

Note: Deleting a message only affects your own device, and does not affect the message on the chat partner's device.

Older SMS messages, such as those from our loved ones that are still on the SIM card, are not lost if you have just switched to a OnePlus smartphone.

The SMS messages are stored in the SIM card memory and can be retrieved at any time via the Messages app.
