OnePlus How to Set up SIM PIN

Change SIM PIN
When the SIM card is delivered, it is protected by the provider by a four-digit PIN number as standard to prevent unauthorized access.
Since the standard PIN consists of an arbitrary combination of numbers, it is usually rather difficult to remember and a change of PIN is desired.
The PIN change can be made directly on the OnePlus smartphone and is stored directly on the SIM card, providing cross-device protection of the data contained there.
Note: If a PIN is entered incorrectly three times in a row, it is first blocked.
It can then be unblocked by entering the eight-digit PUK number.
This can be found in the corresponding SIM card documents.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Security & lock screen
- Tap on SIM card lock
- Choose the SIM card (Dual SIM)
- Tap on Change SIM PIN
- Enter the current/old PIN and tap OK
- Enter the new PIN and tap OK
- Enter the new PIN again and tap OK
Lock SIM card
By default, the SIM card is protected by a PIN, which makes unauthorized access almost impossible, since the SIM card is automatically locked after three incorrect PIN entries and can only be unlocked again by entering the PUK number.
If desired, the SIM lock can be completely deactivated if the password and PIN entry is considered annoying, for example, because an additional screen lock has been set up on the OnePlus smartphone.
However, it should be noted that a disabled SIM lock provides all the data and access to the SIM card, even if it has been inserted in another device.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Security & lock screen
- Tap on SIM card lock
- Choose the SIM card (Dual SIM)
- Enable or disable Lock SIM card
- Enter the current SIM PIN and tap OK
