OnePlus How to Set up TalkBack

If TalkBack is enabled on the OnePlus smartphone, we get voice feedback on every item on the screen and can theoretically operate the smartphone without looking at the display.

After activating TalkBack, the control changes as follows:

• Swipe right or left to switch between items/icons.
• Double-tap to select or activate an element.
• To scroll, swipe/drag with two fingers.

To deactivate TalkBack on the OnePlus smartphone again, it takes a little more than navigating to the settings of the operating aids, since the TalkBack function changes the control of the device as follows:

• Swipe left or right to switch between the items/options/apps.
• Double-tap to select an item/option/app.
• Swipe/drag with two fingers to scroll.

Note: In this tutorial we will concentrate on the special navigation of TalkBack to successfully turn off the function.

The voice output of TalkBack on the OnePlus smartphone can be adapted to the user's needs.

In addition to text-to-speech, the of speech rate and pitch can be increased or decreased using sliders.

Note: In this manual we only increase the speech rate, other options are available.

After activating TalkBack on the OnePlus smartphone, the navigation of the device changes into a user-friendly control that can be further adapted to the user and his or her needs.

When the TalkBack function is active on the OnePlus smartphone, the entered passwords can be spoken out, for example, to correct them.

However, the data could also be passed on to unauthorized persons or heard by them, so the feature can be disabled at any time for security reasons.

TalkBack provides us with a haptic as well as an acoustic feedback for every input, which can be individually configured on the OnePlus smartphone.

In addition to the sound and vibration feedback, we can adjust the sound feedback volume or enable audio ducking, which decreases other audio sources during voice input.
