Add a new contact
In order to always have all the necessary data and phone numbers of a person available, we can create new contacts in the Contacts app on the OnePlus smartphone and add information such as the landline or mobile number, address, website or other details.
Contacts are stored on the device's internal memory or in the linked Google account, depending on your selections, providing easy synchronization.
It is also possible to add a profile photo or select a personal ringtone.
- Open the Contacts app
- Tap on Add
- Enter a name
- Enter a phone number
- Tap on Save
Add a contact to home screen
For faster access to a stored contact, we can add a shortcut of the contact to the OnePlus smartphone's home screen.
This will place an icon on the home screen the size of an app icon, which can be freely positioned or moved.
A single tap opens the corresponding contact, which then offers additional options, such as calling or writing an SMS message.
- Open the Contacts app
- Choose a contact
- Open the menu
- Tap on Add to Home screen
- Tap and hold to place manually or tap on Add automatically
Delete a contact
The contacts stored on the OnePlus smartphone can be deleted from the Contacts app at any time.
This will delete all existing information or details, such as phone numbers, addresses, website entries or birthday.
If the contact is in the Google Account, the deletion will be synchronized immediately if the option is enabled.
- Open the Contacts app
- Tap and hold a contact
- Choose more contacts if desired
- Tap on Delete
- Confirm with Delete
