OnePlus How to Adjust Camera Settings
OnePlus 398Table of contents
Rearrange camera modes
We can edit the displayed camera modes on the OnePlus smartphone as we wish, which includes removing, adding or moving the individual options.
This allows us to remove unused camera modes from the access bar and sort others.
To remove or add one of the modes, tap the corresponding plus or minus symbol and to move or sort a mode, hold the sort button and drag it to the desired position.

- Open the Camera app
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Custom modes
- Add, remove or hold a camera mode to rearrange it
- Drag the camera mode to the desired position
- Release the camera mode to position it
Mirrored selfie photo
To get the best representation of the selfies taken, we can virtually mirror the front camera of the OnePlus smartphone, so that the photos are automatically mirrored to avoid distorted representation of rooms or fonts in the background.

- Open the Camera app
- Open the Settings
- Enable or disable Mirrored selfie photo
Save location information
If desired, we can save the corresponding location information for each photo or video recording, which is displayed in the gallery app under each photo, for example.
With this option, you can always see where exactly one or the other snapshot was taken.

- Open the Camera app
- Open the Settings
- Enable or disable Store location data
Aspect ratio
We can select the camera format or aspect ratio on the OnePlus smartphone to take wide shots of landscapes or panoramas, for example.
Depending on the phone model and its screen format (for example, 16:9 or 21:9), we have the following options:
- 4:3
- Full
- 1:1

- Open the Camera app
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Aspect ratio
- Choose 4:3, Full or 1:1
Video resolution of the rear camera
In order to better monitor and/or control the internal memory of the OnePlus smartphone, we can determine the resolution of the video recordings, whereby it should be noted that a higher frame rate or FPS rate (Frames per second) leads to a higher file size.
Depending on the device model and its camera sensor the following formats are available:
- 1080P 30FPS
- 1080P 60FPS
- 4K 30FPS
- 4K CINE 30FPS

- Open the Camera app
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Video resolution
- Set the Video resolution of the rear camera
Specs watermark
If desired, we can enable a watermark that is displayed in the lower left corner of the photos taken and provides information about the device model or used camera technology of the OnePlus smartphone.
As an example, a watermark would look like this:
Shot on OnePlus
Powered by Quad Camera

- Open the Camera app
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Shot on OnePlus watermark
- Enable or disable Watermark
Grid lines
If we take a lot of photos of landscapes or nature panoramas with the OnePlus smartphone, we can activate a grid that is superimposed in the camera viewfinder and offers us, for example, a straight cut of the horizon to get an orientation of the viewing angle.
The following options or formats can be set for the camera grid:
- 3 x 3
- 4 x 4
- Golden ratio

- Open the Camera app
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Grid
- Choose 3 x 3, 4 x 4 or Golden ratio
UltraShot HDR
When the UltraShotHDRfeature is enabledon theOnePlus smartphone, multiple images are captured and the brightness levels are combined into one photo to achieve the best possible colour resolution.
Note: HDR stands for High Dynamic Range and ensures even brightness textures on photos.

- Open the Camera app
- Open the Settings
- Enable or disable UltraShot HDR
