Connect to a Wi-Fi network
A connection to a Wi-Fi network is already established when the OnePlus smartphone is set up, which ensures greater data throughput.
In addition to connecting to a Wi-Fi network to use its Internet connection, the smartphone can also exchange data wirelessly on the home network.
As a rule, the corresponding Wi-Fi password is also required for private networks, which only then enables a successful connection.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Wi-Fi & network
- Tap on Wi-Fi
- Choose an available Wi-Fi network
- Enter the password and tap Connect
Add WiFi manually
If the OnePlus smartphone cannot find a WiFi network, for example because it is invisible, we can connect manually and thus add the WiFi network.
To do this, we need the correct SSID of the router and, if necessary, the corresponding WiFi password.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Wi-Fi & network
- Tap on Wi-Fi
- Tap on Add network
- Enter the appropriate data and tap Save
Connect Wi-Fi using QR Code
If we want to connect the OnePlus smartphone to a secure WiFi network, it requires the entry of a password, which can be very cumbersome in some cases.
To bypass the password entry, the OnePlus device can also connect to a WiFi network by scanning a QR code.
These QR codes contain all the necessary information and are a quick solution for connecting to the secure network in a café, airport or hotel, for example.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Wi-Fi & network
- Tap on Wi-Fi
- Tap on Add network via QR code
Forget a Wi-Fi network
If we would like to remove a saved WiFi connection on the OnePlus smartphone, for example because there is a malfunction or no Internet connection at all, we can clearly view the saved networks and delete them.
Probably the most common reason for this is that the Internet in the home WiFi network is slower than usual.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Wi-Fi & network
- Tap on Wi-Fi
- Tap on Saved networks
- Choose a Wi-Fi network
- Tap on Forget
