Add a printer manually

When activated, the OnePlus smartphone already has a default print service installed that recognizes all popular printer models from a wide range of manufacturers.
However, if your own printer is not included, we can manually add the printer based on the IP address if Wi-Fi Direct is not available.

Android 10 (OxygenOS 10.0)
Step 1:  Open the  Settings
Step 2:  Tap on  Bluetooth & device connection
Step 3:  Tap on  Printing
Step 4:  Tap on  Default Print Service
Step 5:  Open the  menu
Step 6:  Tap on  Add printer
Step 7:  Tap on  Add printer by IP address
Step 8:  Enter the  hostname  or  IP address  and tap on  Add
  1. Open the Settings
  2. Tap on Bluetooth & device connection
  3. Tap on Printing
  4. Tap on Default Print Service
  5. Open the menu
  6. Tap on Add printer
  7. Tap on Add printer by IP address
  8. Enter the hostname or IP address and tap on Add

Install Print Service

The pre-installed default print service on the OnePlus smartphone recognizes the most common printers from a wide variety of manufacturers.
However, if the printer requires special drivers, we can install the manufacturer-specific print service from the Google Play Store, if available.
In addition, some print services include additional features that can positively impact printing.

The OnePlus smartphone can send a wide variety of files, such as photos, documents or PDFs directly to a connected printer for immediate printing.
For this, it is sufficient if the devices are in the same WLAN network.

Note: In this manual we print any PDF file. The steps are for illustration purposes only. Other options are available.
