Oppo How to Manage App-Shortcuts on Home Screen

Add Shortcut
If the default home screen mode is enabled, all apps are automatically displayed on the home screen, and apps can be removed from the home screen using the App Drawer.
This guide shows how to add an app shortcut using the enabled App Drawer.




- Wipe up to open the App-Drawer
- Tap and hold the desired App
- Drag the app to the top
- Place the app in the desired position and release
Add Apps automatically
On the Oppo smartphone, app shortcuts are added under ColorOS on the home screen by default, but if the App Drawer is enabled, automatic adding can also be disabled, so apps are only added in the App Drawer.
Note: This feature is not available in the default home screen mode.



- Open the Settings
- Tap on Home Screen & Wallpaper
- Enable or Disable Add Apps to Home Screen
App Drawer
By default, the Oppo smartphone has the App Drawer (the app overview is activated on the Oppo smartphone. This means that not all installed apps are shown on the start screen, but only those that are desired. All other apps are listed in their own app overview. The menu for this can be called up by wiping to the top.






- Open the Settings
- Tap on Home Screen & Wallpaper
- Tap on Home screen mode
- Choose between Standard mode and Drawer mode
- Tap on Apply
- Confirm with Switch
Notification Badge
On the Oppo smartphone home screen, a notification point can be displayed on the app icon to indicate a new unread notification.
Under ColorOS 6 and ColorOS 7 Oppo does not display the number of notifications. Under this version it is only possible to display a point badge. The notification point must also be activated or deactivated for each individual app. Unfortunately there is no central setting on Oppo.






- Open the Settings
- Tap on App management
- Tap on App list
- Choose desired App
- Tap on Manage notifications
- Choose between Dot and No badge
Remove App Shortcut
It's easy to remove app shortcuts placed on the Home screen, provided that the App Drawer is enabled, otherwise apps cannot be removed from the Home screen.


- Tap and hold the desired App
- Tap on Remove
Auto arrange icons
with the option "autofill" icon, all app links are automatically aligned in reading direction. newly added apps are placed per line from left to right. if this feature is activated, apps can no longer be placed anywhere on the start screen. the links can only be changed in their order.

- Enable or Disable Icon autofill
