Enable/disable Data Usage Limit
The data limit helps us to unintentionally exceed the data volume of our contract. If the data limit is reached on the Oppo smartphone, the mobile data is automatically deactivated.
Only from version ColorOS 7 (Android 10) onwards is it possible to use the usual data limit on Oppo devices. These instructions show how the data limit can be activated or deactivated.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on SIM card & mobile data
- Tap on Data usage
- Tap on Mobile Data Limit
- Enable or Disable Set monthly data limit
- Confirm with OK

By default, data usage on the Oppo smartphone is charged from the first day of the month, but you can set the billing cycle date to any other day of the month in the mobile data settings.

Daily data limit
On the Oppo smartphone with ColorOS, there is a common function for the daily data warning and data limit, with the option of activating a daily data reminder with a range of 10 MB to 100 GB. This acts as a data warning.
A data limit as we usually know it is only available on the Oppo device from ColorOS 7 (Android 10) on. If the daily volume was used up, a notification appears with the information that the allowed daily data usage was exceeded. If the notification is not responded to, the mobile data is deactivated for the rest of the day.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on SIM card & mobile data
- Tap on Data usage
- Tap on Mobile Data Limit
- Tap on Daily Mobile Data Limit
- Choose desired Limit
Data limit
With ColorOS 7 (Android 10), Oppo also offers the usual data limit/data limitation on its smartphones, which was previously not available with older versions. After reaching the set data limit, the mobile data is deactivated.
Note: There may be differences between the smartphone and the mobile phone provider when calculating the actual data volume.
