Brighten screen
Among other things, face recognition cannot work in dark environments because there is not enough light for reliable recognition, and starting with ColorOS 7 there is an "Auto brighten screen fpr Face unlock" function that can help with this.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Fingerprint, face & password
- Tap on Face
- Enter your current Password/PIN/Pattern
- Enable or Disable Auto brighten screen for Face unlock
Stay on Lock screen
By default, the Oppo smartphone is unlocked by Face Detection when the power button is pressed. This means that the lock screen is not visible. If this is not desired, the option "By wiping up when the screen is on" can be activated, which keeps the user on the lock screen. Only by wiping is Face Detection started.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Fingerprint, face & password
- Tap on Face
- Enter your current Password/PIN/Pattern
- Tap on Activate Face unlock
- Choose between By swiping up on Lock screen and By pressing Power button
Require Open eyes
For a higher security on the Oppo-Smartphone ColorOS offers the possibility to enable face recognition only with open eyes.
Note: For people who wear glasses, this function can cause problems.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Fingerprint, face & password
- Tap on Face
- Enter your current Password/PIN/Pattern
- Enable or Disable Unlock only when eyes are open
Remove Face data
If face recognition is no longer required, the registered face should also be removed from the Oppo smartphone, for which the unlock password is required.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Fingerprint, face & password
- Tap on Face
- Enter your current Password/PIN/Pattern
- Tap on Face enrolled
- Confirm with Delete
