Manage keyboard
ColorOS (Android) manages all input methods in a central place under "Manage Keyboards". Here, besides the on-screen keyboards, also voice inputs and other keyboards are managed. In other words, here the keyboards can be activated or deactivated. If we want to use an alternative keyboard to Gboard, for example, we first have to activate the keyboard here before we can select it as the standard keyboard.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Additional settings
- Tap on Keyboard & input method
- Tap on Manage keyboards
- Enable or Disable desired Keyboard
- Confirm with Activate
Google voice typing
On the Oppo smartphone, Google speech input is installed and enabled by default, but if speech input is not desired, it can be disabled under ColorOS in the preferences.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Additional settings
- Tap on Keyboard & input method
- Tap on Manage keyboards
- Enable or Disable Google voice typing
Set Default Keyboard
If you want to use an alternative keyboard to Gboard, you have to set it as default after activating the keyboard. If another keyboard was installed on the Oppo-Smartphone, you can quickly switch between the default keyboard via the menu.

- Tap on Additional settings
- Tap on Keyboard & input method
- Tap on Current keyboard
- Choose desired Keyboard

- Tap on Personal dictionary
- Choose desired Language or tap on For all languages
- Tap on Add
