Oppo How to Set up "Select to Speak"
Oppo 14Table of contents
Select to Speak
Reading aloud is a function that is somewhat similar to TalkBack, but it does not affect the Oppo smartphone's controls. If Read aloud is activated, we get another button (accessibility icon) in the navigation bar. Once we tap on it, we can highlight a text on the screen, which is then read aloud to us.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Additional settings
- Tap on Accessibility
- Tap on Select to Speak
- Enable or Disable Select to Speak
- Confirm with OK
Read in background (Select to Speak)
"Read in background" is an experimental function of "Select to Speak". the voice output is usually only as long as the text is visible. if "Read in background" is activated, for example, a longer text can be read aloud, even if we have already called another app. experimental means, however, that this does not always work.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Additional settings
- Tap on Accessibility
- Tap on Select to Speak
- Open the Settings
- Enable or Disable Read in background
Read text on images
having texts read aloud from pictures? this is (almost) no problem with the read aloud function on the Oppo smartphone. after activation, the experimental function can recognise texts on pictures and have them read aloud. texts that are to be "scanned" by the camera can also be read aloud with this function.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Additional settings
- Tap on Accessibility
- Tap on Select to Speak
- Open the Settings
- Enable or Disable Read text on images
- Confirm with Continue
