Edit a contact

We can easily edit existing contacts when changes are made, so there is no need to first delete and then create a new contact.

Android 10 (One UI 2.0)
Step 1:  Open the  Contacts -App
Step 2:  Tap on desired  Contact
Step 3:  Tap on  Edit
Step 4:  Edit Contact  details  and confirm with  Save

Add birthday to a contact

To make sure we never forget a birthday, we can also add the birthday in the contacts. The field will not be visible until we tap "Show more" in edit mode. Under Important Date, we can not only create the anniversary or a custom type, but also select the birthday.

Note: If you want the birthday to be displayed in the calendar as well, the contact must be saved in the Samsung account.

Step 4:  Tap on  View more
Step 5:  Tap on  Important date
Step 6:  Tap on  Date
Step 7:  Enable  Enter year
Step 8:  Set date of  Birthday  and confirm with  Done
Step 9:  Tap on  Save

Add a photo to contact

in addition to name, phone number and other fields, contacts can also have their own photo. instead of the initial of the name, the assigned photo/image is then displayed. by default, contact pictures are already available on the Samsung device, some of which are animated. in addition, you can also select your own photos from the gallery.

Assign a Custom Ringtone for a Contact

in addition to the standard ringtone, each individual contact can be assigned their own ringtone. in addition to the ringtone, the vibration pattern can also be individually adjusted on the Samsung device. in addition to the standard ringtones, you can also add your own ringtones.
