Enable or Disable Google Backup

In addition to backup through the Samsung cloud, there is also the option of backup through Google, which also automatically creates a backup in the cloud (Google Drive) at regular intervals.

Android 10 (One UI 2.0)
Step 1:  Open the  Settings
Step 2:  Tap on  Accounts and backup
Step 3:  Tap on  Backup and restore
Step 4:  Tap on  Back up my data
Step 5:  Enable or disable  Back up my data

Change Google Backup account

In order for a backup to be created by Google, a backup account must be added, and in addition to the existing Google Account, which should usually be available, any other Google Account can be selected.

Step 3:  Tap on  Backup and restore
Step 4:  Tap on  Backup account
Step 5:  Choose desired  Account
Step 6:  Confirm with  OK

Local backup

In addition to backing up to the cloud (Samsung/Google), we can also create a local backup on the storage card or internal storage. On the Samsung device, this works via Smart Switch, which also makes it possible to restore the backup to another Samsung device.

Backup data (Samsung Cloud)

If we have a Samsung account, we can have a backup created in the cloud, so that all data is protected even if the backup file is lost on local storage.

Restore Backup (Samsung cloud)

Backup files available in the Samsung cloud can be restored to the Samsung device at any time, and if apps are not present on the Samsung device, you can choose whether to install them if they are present in the backup.

Backup data automatically

As with manual backup in the Samsung cloud, we can instruct the Samsung device to automatically create a backup, and as with manual backup in the Samsung cloud, we can select individual areas for backup.
