Power saving mode
The energy-saving mode extends the battery life of the Samsung device, preventing apps from using data or querying the location in the background. Depending on the model, functions such as the Always On Display are also switched off or the CPU speed is reduced.
Note: In addition to "Medium Power Saving", the Samsung device also offers "Maximum Power Saving", which also activates Dark Mode (dark design).

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Device care
- Tap on Battery
- Tap on Power mode
- Choose between Optimised (Off), Medium power saving and Maximum power saving
- Confirm with Apply
Maximum power saving
The "Maximum Power Saving" mode is used on the Samsung device to save as much battery as possible to provide the longest possible battery life:
- Brightness reduced
- CPU speed reduced to 70 percent
- Background data restricted
- Always On Display deactivated
- Limited number of executable apps enabled

- Simple home screen enabled

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Device care
- Tap on Battery
- Tap on App power management
- Enable or disable Adaptive battery
Adaptive power saving
The Adaptive Power Management feature automatically sets the power mode based on user behavior, such as limiting background activity for rarely used apps.

- Tap on Device care

- Tap on Power mode
- Enable or disable Adaptive power saving
Auto optimisation
We can instruct the Samsung device to automatically optimise itself once a day, closing apps in the background and making further optimisations.
The automatic optimization only takes place when the device is not in use, i.e. when the screen is turned off. For the best result, a time should be planned when the Samsung device is not (rarely) used.
