Holidays
Holidays are displayed on the Samsung Calendar by a signed in Google Account, and the country of the displayed holidays depends on the region or language selected in System Preferences.
If you want to hide the holidays, you'll need to do so in the display options for that account. This guide shows how to hide/show the holidays from your Google Account. Other accounts should be handled in the same way.

- Open the Calendar-App
- Open the menu
- Tap on desired Account
- Enable or disable Holidays in xxx
Declined Events
Declined Events are hidden in the calendar on the Samsung device by default, but if you want to show such events, you need to disable the "Hide declined events" option in the settings.

- Open the Calendar-App
- Open the menu
- Open the Settings
- Enable or disable Hide declinded events
Reminder Events/Tasks
Tasks that come from the App Reminder are displayed by default in the calendar of the Samsung device. Alternatively, we can hide the display of the tasks, in which case we need to disable the App Reminder in the App Events.

- Open the menu
- Tap on App events
- Enable or disable Reminder
Alternate calendar
In the Samsung calendar we can display alternative calendars in addition to the standard one, including
- Korean Lunar Calendar
- Chinese Lunar Calendar
- Vietnamese Lunar Calendar
- Hijri
- Shamsi
The alternative calendars are displayed in a reduced size in the usual calendar.

- Open the Calendar-App
- Open the menu
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Alternate calendar
- Choose diresir calendar
Calendar colours
If several accounts are displayed in the Samsung calendar, the calendar offers us a function to differentiate between the individual accounts. In the settings we can assign a different colour to each account or calendar.
If, for example, we want the holidays to be in yellow instead of green, this can be easily set.

- Open the Calendar-App
- Open the menu
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Manage calendar colours
- Tap on desired Account
- Choose desired Colour

By default, the Samsung device starts the calendar in month view. We can also change the calendar view to year, month, week or day. The setting is saved and will be displayed the next time the app is started.

- Open the Calendar-App
- Open the menu
- Choose between Year, Month, Week and Day
First Day of the Week
Before 1976 the week began in Germany on Sunday, and this Jewish and Christian tradition still exists today in the USA, Israel, Japan and China.
The first day of the week is determined by the Samsung calendar of the standard location, but we can also define the beginning of the week as Saturday, Sunday or Monday.

- Open the Calendar-App
- Open the menu
- Open the Settings
- Tap on First day of the week
- Choose between Local default, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
Default Reminder Time
When creating a new event, the default reminder time is 10 minutes before the event. For all-day events, the Samsung device will give a reminder at 5 p.m. the day before at the day before. These times can be adjusted each time an event is created.
We can adjust the default reminder time in the settings for faster entry or to skip changing.

- Open the Calendar-App
- Open the menu
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Alert settings
- Choose between Events, All-day Events and Contacts birthdays

If you need to display calendar weeks (KW), you can enable or disable them in the Samsung calendar settings and the week number will appear on the left-hand side of the screen.

- Open the Calendar-App
- Open the menu
- Open the Settings
- Enable or disable Show week numbers
Weather Forecast
Besides displaying the weather on the Home screen or the Side screen, we can also display the weather on the calendar. A small icon shows us the weather for the next seven days every day.
