Mobile data only Apps

Samsung's One UI operating system allows its users to activate "Mobile data only Apps", meaning that selected apps only use the mobile data connection, even if there is a WLAN connection.

Step 1:  Open the  Settings
Step 2:  Tap on  Connections
Step 3:  Tap on  Data usage
Step 4:  Tap on  Mobile data only apps
Step 5:  Enable or disable  Mobile data only apps
Step 6:  Enable or disable  apps  you want

Allow app while Data saver on

If the data saving mode is activated on the Samsung device, the mobile data for apps can only be used to a limited extent, but in the app settings, individual apps can be allowed to save data, which means they can continue to use the mobile data without restrictions.

Data roaming

If the Samsung device connects to a foreign or foreign network, no data packets are sent until data roaming is activated, and only when raoming has been activated is the Internet available on the foreign network, which can lead to additional costs.

Data saver

The Data saver mode prevents the data connection for apps running in the background. apps can also be selected for the "Data saver" function that are still allowed to use data in the background despite the active data saving mode.

Mobile data

By default, the mobile data connection for the Internet on the Samsung device is turned on, but mobile data can also be turned off manually. On Samsung dual SIM devices, only the mobile data of the selected default SIM card can be turned on/off.

Note: Mobile data can also be switched on/off using the quick settings.
