Add a printer

The standard print service is compatible with most printer models, which eliminates the need for additional software on Samsung devices. However, some models are not compatible with the standard print service, which means that a printer must be added "manually". Print services from the respective printer manufacturers also offer additional options or editing options.

Android 10 (One UI 2.0)
Step 1:  Open the  Settings
Step 2:  Tap on  Connections
Step 3:  Tap on  More connection settings
Step 4:  Tap on  Printing
Step 5:  Tap on  Default Print Service
Step 6:  Open the  menu
Step 7:  Tap on  Add printer
Step 8:  Tap on Add printer by  IP address
Step 9:  Enter  IP address  and confirm with  Add

  4. Tap on Printing
  5. Tap on Default Print Service
  6. Open the menu
  7. Tap on Add printer
  8. Tap on Add printer by IP address
  9. Enter IP address and confirm with Add

Install Print Service

The Samsung device comes with a standard print service that is compatible with the most popular printers, but in some cases, the print service (plug-in/driver) from the respective manufacturer must be installed to print files. This guide shows how to easily install a print service via the Play Store.

Step 1:  Open the  Settings
Step 2:  Tap on  Connections
Step 3:  Tap on  More connection settings
Step 4:  Tap on  Printing
Step 5:  Tap on  Download plugin
Step 6:  Choose the desired  Print Service
Step 7:  Tap on  Install

Samsung devices with the One UI user interface can send files such as text documents, PDF files, images or any other printable file directly to the printer for printing. Samsung smartphones and tablets have a standard Ducker service already installed to print the files, and in some cases, and for more options, a printer from the manufacturer must be installed.
