Samsung How to Set up Always on Display

Charging Information
When the Samsung device is charging, the switched-off screen displays the charging information, showing the current charge status and the expected charging time. By default, the charging information on the Samsung device is activated, but can also be deactivated.
Note: The charging information is only displayed when the screen is off and Always On Display is not in use.



- Open the Settings
- Tap on Display
- Enable or disable Show charging information
Enable or Disable Always on Display
With the Always On Display, it is possible to have an always-on screen on your Samsung device, displaying information such as the date and time, as well as notifications or music information. This guide shows how to turn the Always On Display on your Samsung device on or off.
Note: Not every Samsung device supports the Always On Display.



- Open the Settings
- Tap on Lock screen
- Enable or disable Always On Display
Brightness
the brightness on the Always On Display can be controlled automatically by the Samsung device. alternatively, we can also change the brightness manually. this can be done via the usual display settings, if the automatic is deactivated, or directly on the Always On Display. to do this, you need to tap the clock twice in a row. then the option to change the brightness will appear.

- Set Brightness manually or enable/disable Auto brightness
Customize Clock Style
the Always On Display of the Samsung device can be personalized with limited settings. for example, we can edit the clock. there are different designs available, including analog or digital clocks, a choice of colors and, if desired, a calendar.








- Open the Settings
- Tap on Lock screen
- Tap on Always On Display
- Tap on Clock style
- Tap on desired Clock Type
- Tap on Colour
- Tap on desired Colour
- Confirm with Done
Notifications
By default, notifications are displayed as icons on the Always On Display of the Samsung device. If you wish, we can disable the display of notifications, but it is not possible to view the notification content.




- Open the Settings
- Tap on Lock screen
- Tap on Notifications
- Enable or disable Show on Always On Display
Music information
On the Always On Display of the Samsung device, we can display music information about the music currently playing on the device if desired, and the music must be played in the background via apps such as Youtube, Spotify or other apps.

- Enable or disable Show music information
Landscape/Portrait mode
The Always On Display is shown in portrait mode by default on the Samsung device, but if you prefer to see it in landscape mode, you can set this in the Always On Display settings.

- Choose between Portrait and Landscape
Show Always/Schedule
The Always On Display can be shown on the Samsung device according to a schedule, by tapping or always, so the time and the latest notifications are always visible on the screen.

- Choose between Tap to show, Show always and Show as scheduled
Set an Image
On the Always On Display of the Samsung device, we can display our own picture, and the selected picture is then displayed in the upper part of the FaceWidgets.

- Tap on Add
- Tap on Just once
- Choose Image you want
- Confirm with Done
