Samsung How to Manage Contact Groups

Contacts can be added to groups on the Samsung device. The group can be used to send group messages and group emails to the members of the group. You can also assign a ring tone to the group.

On the Samsung device, individual ringtones can be set for individual contact groups. For example, if a contact in this group calls, the group ringtone will sound.

Even if a ring tone is set for the group, the ring tone of a contact is preferred.

In a contact group, we can add members both during creation and afterwards.

After creating a group, we can edit it on the Samsung device, rename it, add or remove members, or change the group sound.

Removing members from a contact group is as easy as adding them, but on the Samsung device, you must select the edit mode to remove members.

You can change the name of self-created contact groups at any time in the app, but you cannot rename standard groups such as family, colleagues or friends.

You can quickly and easily delete groups created on your Samsung device. You can choose to delete only the group or the group and its members. Selecting Group and members will remove the group and the stored contacts from the phone or location.

Note: The group "Emergency contacts" cannot be deleted.
