Add page

On the home screen, apps and widgets can be placed on pages, and in addition to automatically creating pages on the home screen, they can also be added manually.

Step 1:  Tap and hold a free  area  on home screen
Step 2:  Wipe to the last  page
Step 3:  Tap on  Add

Samsung Daily

Samsung Daily replaces Bixby Home on the home screen. The functionality remains the same, so the latest news and other personalized content is offered.

Those who do not wish to use Samsung Daily can deactivate (or even activate) this service via the edit mode of the home screen.

Grid Size

On the home screen of Samsung devices with One UI, apps can be displayed in different grids. changing the setting will also affect the size of the app shortcuts. on the home screen, as on the app screen, a grid of 4x5, 4x6, 5x5 and 5x6 can be applied.

Step 3:  Tap on  Home screen
Step 4:  Tap on  Home screen grid
Step 5:  Choose  Grid Size  you want
Step 6:  Confirm with  Save

Lock Home screen layout

Samsung smartphones and tablets with One UI can lock the home screen layout, which prevents accidental changes such as moving apps or widgets. Locking the home screen also prevents apps from being automatically added to the home screen.

Note: If the App Overview is disabled, locking the home screen will reactivate it.

Landscape mode

By default, the home screen on Samsung devices can only be used in portrait format, even if "Rotate to landscape mode" is switched on. If you want to use the home screen in landscape format as well, you have to activate this separately in the home screen settings.

Browse

Although the home screen and app drawer can be sorted very well thanks to folders, sometimes searching for an app or file can be tedious. The Samsung device can be searched thanks to the Finder, which searches not only for apps but also for files in memory.

Set Default Panel

By default, the second page of the home screen (when Bixby Home/Samsung Daily is enabled) is set as the default home page on the Samsung device. If you wish, you can set any other existing page as the default. Tapping the Home button in the navigation bar will then bring up the default home page.
