Add App shortcuts on the lock screen
By default, two app shortcuts are displayed in the bottom corners of the lock screen on Samsung devices. These include the phone app (left) and the camera (right). If desired, these can be bundled together as a single shortcut or hidden completely. Samsung also allows apps to be exchanged, so app shortcuts from Facebook, WhatsApp or any other app can be placed on the lock screen.





- Open the Settings
- Tap on Lock screen
- Tap on Shortcuts
- Tap on Left shortcut or Right shortcut
- Tap on desired App
Change Clock on Lock screen
With Samsung's One UI user interface, the lock screen can be personalized to change the clock displayed, and in addition to different clock styles such as digital or analog, with/without seconds or date, even the color can be customized.
Note: Is Roaming Clock activated, the Clock cannot be personalized on the lock screen.








- Open the Settings
- Tap on Lock screen
- Tap on Clock style
- Tap on Lock screen
- Choose desired Type
- Tap on Colour
- Choose desired Colour
- Confirm with Done
Contact Information
The lock screen of the Samsung smartphone or tablet can display contact information of up to 65 characters, which could be a simple welcome text or contact information such as phone number or email address in case the device is lost.
Note: Contact information is visible to everyone on the lock screen.




- Open the Settings
- Tap on Lock screen
- Tap on Contact information
- Enter desired Contact Information and confirm with Done
Customize Notifications
Notifications are displayed on the lock screen with an app icon by default. Samsung's One UI also allows you to display a detailed or abridged notification on the lock screen, with or without content or background transparency at the user's discretion.






- Open the Settings
- Tap on Lock screen
- Tap on Notifications
- Tap on View style
- Tap on Details
- Adjust the desired settings
Enable or Disable Notifications
By default, the Samsung device displays notifications in the form of an icon on the lock screen, but in addition to personalisation, notifications on the lock screen can be completely disabled and later enabled again.

- Enable or disable Notifications
FaceWidgets
FaceWidgets are useful information that are displayed on the lock screen, and if supported, on the Always on Display, of the Samsung device. This includes, for example, a music player to pause the music or skip the song, but it can also display today's dates, the next alarm (also stopwatch/timer) or the weather. By default, only the music is activated.
If desired, the order of the FaceWidgets can be rearranged.




- Open the Settings
- Tap on Lock screen
- Tap on FaceWidgets
- Enable or disable Widgets you want
Dynamic lock screen
For the lock screen, we have two different ways to display changing backgrounds: One is to add your own pictures from the gallery and the other is to use wallpaper services like Samsung Global Goals or the Dynamic Lock Screen.
The Dynamic Lock Screen displays changing wallpapers from a selected category. The categories available are Landscapes, Everyday, Food, Pets and Art. Approximately every two weeks, the wallpapers for the Lock Screen are automatically updated.





- Open the Settings
- Tap on Lock screen
- Tap on Wallpaper services
- Tap on Dynamic Lock screen
- Tap on Apply
Roaming Clock
By default, Samsung devices display two clocks on the lock screen when the device is in a roaming network (in another country). Both local time (roaming clock) and home time are displayed. The roaming clock can be turned on/off in the lock screen settings.
Note: If Roaming Clock is enabled, the Clock on the lock screen cannot be personalized.



- Open the Settings
- Tap on Lock screen
- Enable or disable Roaming clock
Quick Launch Camera
In addition to the camera shortcut (default), the camera can also be started from the lock screen by pressing the function button. To do this, the function (Quick Launch Camera) button must be pressed twice. By default, this function is enabled. If not, it can be activated as shown in this manual.

Double tap to wake
Double tap to turn on the Samsung device's screen. The function is enabled by default and can also be disabled in the advanced functions. Double-tapping to turn on works for the lock screen, Always On Display or when neither is enabled.
