Add keyboard
In addition to the pre-installed Samsung keyboard, other keyboards can be downloaded from the Play Store; before downloaded/installed keyboards can be defined as default, they must be activated in the keyboard management.






- Open the Settings
- Tap on General management
- Tap on Language and input
- Tap on On-screen keyboard
- Tap on Manage keyboards
- Enable or disable desired keyboard
Set Default Keyboard
The pre-installed Samsung keyboard is already set as default, and new keyboards that are installed later must first be activated in the Keyboard Manager before they can be set as the default keyboard.






- Open the Settings

- Tap on Language and input
- Tap on On-screen keyboard
- Tap on Default keyboard
- Tap on desired keyboard
Google voice typing
Texts can not only be written but also spoken on the Samsung device. Google Speech converts spoken words into text. If speech is enabled, there is a microphone icon on the (Samsung) keyboard to use speech. "Google voice typing" can also be disabled in the keyboard management.







- Open the Settings
- Tap on General management
- Tap on Language and input

- Enable or disable Google voice typing
- Confirm with OK
Keyboard mode
In addition to the standard keyboard, the Samsung keyboard also offers two other modes such as the one-handed keyboard and floating keyboard.
One-handed keyboard
The one-handed keyboard is a bit narrower than the standard keyboard and can be optionally pinned to the left or right edge of the screen.
Floating keyboard
The floating keyboard, which can be resized, can be moved across the entire screen and the transparency can also be adjusted here.

Reset Samsung Keyboard
the samsung keyboard offers countless settings and can be adjusted to suit your own needs. if something has been adjusted too much or by mistake, we can reset the keyboard settings to default settings. in addition to the settings, personal predictions can also be deleted.

- Tap on Reset keyboard settings

Keyboard touch and hold delay
alternative characters are accessible via a pop-up on the Samsung keyboard. to open this pop-up, the respective keypad must be tapped and held down. by default, the keystroke must be 0.3 seconds for the pop-up to open. we can change the length of the delay between short, medium, long and individual.
