Samsung 2544Table of contents
Autocorrect
If the Samsung keyboard's text recognition is enabled, we can also use the autocorrection feature, which is enabled by default; if a word is written with a spelling error, the text recognition feature will detect this and automatically correct the word when the space bar, Enter or a punctuation mark is tapped.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on General management
- Tap on Language and input
- Tap on On-screen keyboard
- Tap on Samsung Keyboard
- Tap on Smart typing
- Tap on Auto replace
- Enable or disable desired Autocorrect
Auto punctuate
The Samsung keyboard offers the possibility of setting an automatic punctuation mark by simply tapping the space bar twice, which sets a punctuation mark (dot). By default, the "Auto punctuate" function is disabled, but can be enabled in the keyboard settings.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on General management
- Tap on Language and input
- Tap on On-screen keyboard
- Tap on Samsung Keyboard
- Tap on Smart typing
- Enable or disable Auto punctuate
Auto capitalise
By default, the Samsung keyboard automatically capitalises the first few letters of each sentence, but you can also disable "Auto capitalise" in the Samsung keyboard settings.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on General management
- Tap on Language and input
- Tap on On-screen keyboard
- Tap on Samsung Keyboard
- Tap on Smart typing
- Enable or disable Auto capitalise
Auto spacing
If a word is selected from the suggested text, a space is automatically appended to it on the Samsung keyboard, and the same happens when typing by swipe (glide typing).
"Auto spacing" can be enabled or disabled in the keyboard settings for each individual keyboard language.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on General management
- Tap on Language and input
- Tap on On-screen keyboard
- Tap on Samsung Keyboard
- Tap on Smart typing
- Tap on Auto spacing
- Enable or disable Auto spacing
Auto spell check
The "Auto spell check" does not correct words on the Samsung device, but only underlines them in red and suggests corrections that can be applied by simply typing. The automatic spell checker is disabled by default.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on General management
- Tap on Language and input
- Tap on On-screen keyboard
- Tap on Samsung Keyboard
- Tap on Smart typing
- Tap on Auto spell check
- Enable or disable Auto spell check
Keep symbol panel open
When typing on the Samsung keyboard, whether or not the alternate characters are enabled, a character preview is displayed, and the typed letter is enlarged in a pop-up.
If "Keep symbol panel open" is not desired, it can be disabled in the settings.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on General management
- Tap on Language and input
- Tap on On-screen keyboard
- Tap on Samsung Keyboard
- Tap on Swipe, touch, and feedback
- Enable or disable Keep symbol panel open
