Mute all sounds
The "Mute all sounds" function completely mutes the Samsung device. all sounds including calls, warnings and media sounds are disabled. when you press the Volume up/down key, the sounds are disabled and marked "Mute all sounds" is on.




- Open the Settings
- Tap on Accessibility
- Tap on Hearing enhancements
- Enable or disable Mute all sounds
Temporary mute
the silent sound mode allows, among other things, to mute the Samsung device temporarily. if "temporary mute" is activated, the device is muted for one hour by default. the duration of the mute can be set to the minute up to 24 hours.






- Open the Settings
- Tap on Sounds and vibration
- Tap on Mute
- Enable Temporary mute
- Tap on Mute for
- Choose between 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours and Custom
Media Volume Limit
the media volume can be limited when playing via headphones or bluetooth audio devices. the volume can be individually limited. optionally, a volume pin can be set to adjust the volume above the specified maximum.






- Open the Settings
- Tap on Sounds and vibration
- Tap on Volume
- Open the menu
- Tap on Media volume limit
- Enable or disable Media Volume Limit
Use Volume Keys for Media Volume
By default, the volume buttons on the Samsung device are used to control the ringtone volume. Samsung's One UI user interface allows its users to use the media volume buttons by default, so if this feature is enabled, the media volume is changed outside apps (for example, on the home screen).

- Enable or disable Use Volume keys for media
Media Volume
Media volume includes playback from an app. For example, if a video is played on YouTube or in the browser, this is considered media volume. Sounds from an app, with the exception of notifications, are also subordinate to media sounds.
The volume for media can be adjusted using the buttons or the settings on the Samsung device.

Notification Volume
The notification tone is used to announce all notifications from apps, including the news app but also other apps such as Facebook, WhatsApp, etc. Reminders are also displayed with a notification tone. The volume can be changed either via the volume buttons or, as this guide shows, via the settings of the Samsung device.

Ringtone Volume
By default, the volume for incoming calls is changed directly using the volume keys, which can be used to change the ringer volume even if they are set for media.
This guide shows how to change the volume using the regular settings of the Samsung device.

System Sound Volume
On newer Samsung devices, for example, the sound for taking a screenshot or creating a photo can no longer be switched on or off individually. Samsung groups such sounds together to form system sounds. The volume for this can be changed in the usual sound settings of the Samsung device.

- Tap on Volume
- Slide the slider to change the System tone volume
Alarm Volume
On the Samsung device, the volume of the alarm clock can only be set directly in the Clock app (Alarm clock app), but it is possible to change the volume for each alarm individually.




- Open the Clock-App
- Tap on desired Alarm
- Tap on Alarm sound
- Move the Slider to Change the Alarm Volume
