Mobile Hotspot
the Samsung device can be set up as a wireless hotspot so that other devices can use the mobile data connection. the Samsung device will be visible to other devices as a normal wireless router. once a connection is established, other devices will use the mobile data from the Samsung smartphone or tablet. up to 10 additional devices can connect.




- Open the Settings
- Tap on Connections
- Tap on Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
- Enable or disable Mobile Hotspot
Use as a Wi-Fi repeater
With Wi-Fi Hotspot, the Samsung device can also be used as a Wi-Fi repeater. To do this, the Wi-Fi hotspot to which other devices connect must be set up. Now Wi-Fi sharing can also be activated, which means that the Wi-Fi connection of the Samsung device is shared.








- Open the Settings
- Tap on Connections
- Tap on Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
- Tap on Mobile Hotspot
- Open the menu
- Tap on Wi-Fi sharing
- Enable or disable Wi-Fi sharing
- Confirm with OK
Turn off Wi-Fi Hotspot automatically
On the Samsung device, the mobile WLAN hotspot is automatically switched off after 20 minutes of inactivity (no connected devices), and if this is not desired, the time car can be shortened, extended or even completely deactivated.

- Open the menu
- Tap on Timeout settings
- Choose Timeout you want
Band
If too many devices are in the same Wi-Fi channel, this can affect the speed of the transmission. At the Wi-Fi hotspot of the Samsung device, the channel can be selected automatically or manually.
Note: If Wi-Fi sharing is enabled, this function is not available.

- Tap on Connections
- Tap on Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
- Tap on Mobile Hotspot
- Tap on Band
- Choose between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
Set up Wi-Fi Hotspot
when the wireless hotspot is activated for the first time, standard entries of the device are used. the device name is used as network name and the password is generated automatically. this means that the wireless hotspot of the Samsung device is directly available. alternatively, we can also set up the hotspot and choose our own network name and password.

- Tap on Configure Mobile Hotspot
- Configure the Wi-Fi Hotspot and confirm with Save
