Xiaomi How to Assign Contact Details

We can add birthdays to the contacts stored on the Xiaomi smartphone so we don't forget them, by selecting another contact detail or field that is set by default.

On the Xiaomi smartphone, we can edit the contacts as we like and add numerous details such as birthdays, addresses or URL's. The following detail fields are available:

• Call sign
• IM
• Address
• Nickname
• Internet call
• Relationship
• Website
• Birthday

Note: In this guide we will edit an existing contact and just add a web page.

All contacts stored on the Xiaomi device can have their own photo in addition to their name, phone number and other information. We can select our own photos from various folders or take a photo directly.

Note: In this manual we use a saved/existing photo as profile picture.

In addition to the default ringtone on the Xiaomi smartphone, each contact can also be assigned their own ringtone, so that we can recognize who is calling by hearing the sound alone. We can choose from the pre-installed and custom ringtones.

We can mark saved contacts on the Xiaomi device as favorites. Favorites are always displayed at the top of the Contacts app. Favorite contacts can be dialed faster using the Phone app.

Note: To remove Favorites, tap the Favorites icon again.
