Add Fingerprint
We can add multiple fingerprints, for example, to be able to unlock the Xiaomi smartphone with both left and right hand. After successfully adding a fingerprint, we can set a unique name for each saved fingerprint.
Note: To add a fingerprint, we need the unlock password (pattern, PIN, password).

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Passwords & security
- Tap on Fingerprint unlock
- Enter the current pattern, PIN or password
- Tap on Add fingerprint
- Enter the current pattern, PIN or password
- Place the finger on the fingerprint sensor and follow the instructions on screen
Rename Fingerprint
If we add a fingerprint, we can change the name immediately after successful saving, because by default they are only numbered by the Xiaomi smartphone, but to keep track of them, we can rename them afterwards.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Passwords & security
- Tap on Fingerprint unlock
- Enter the current pattern, PIN or password
- Tap on a fingerprint
- Tap on the current name
- Enter a name and tap Save
Remove Fingerprint
The fingerprints stored on the Xiaomi smartphone can be easily deleted.
Note: To remove a fingerprint, we need the unlock password (pattern, PIN, password).

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Passwords & security
- Tap on Fingerprint unlock
- Enter the current pattern, PIN or password
- Tap on a fingerprint
- Tap on Remove fingerprint
- Confirm with OK

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Passwords & security
- Tap on Fingerprint unlock
- Enter the current pattern, PIN or password
- Enable or disable App lock
