Screen-Wake when receiving notifications
The Xiaomi smartphone's screen is turned on by default when we receive a notification, but we can also turn this feature off, in which case the screen remains black and the device only notifies us that we've received a message by means of the notification tone we set.
Note: On Xiaomi devices that support Always On Display, this feature can be enabled independently.
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Lock screen
- Enable or disable Wake Lock screen for notifications
Owner Info
We can set whether or not the Xiaomi smartphone should display owner information on the lock screen. By default, the name of your own business card is selected, but you can change it if you wish.
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Always-on display & Lock screen
- Tap on Lock screen clock format
- Tap on Lock screen owner info
- Enter a signature and tap OK
Clock format
We can customize the clock style on the lock screen of the Xiaomi device. By default, the clock is displayed with the date centered. We can set whether the clock and date are left-aligned, or vertically.
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Always-on display & Lock screen
- Tap on Lock screen clock format
- Choose a clock layout
- Tap on Back
Double tap
If this feature is enabled, we can double-tap on the screen to activate or wake up the Xiaomi smartphone, which is useful for checking the clock or checking notifications.
Note: This will not unlock the Xiaomi smartphone.
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Always-on display & Lock screen
- Enable or disable Double tap to wake or turn off screen
Notifications on Lock screen
We can (de)activate notifications on the lock screen of the Xiaomi smartphone in general, for example, if you want to avoid prying eyes and protect your privacy, but when we deactivate
them, we don't get pop-up notifications on the lock screen, only icons in the status bar of the device.
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Notifications
- Tap on Lock screen notifications
- Tap on Format
- Choose Show notificaction content or Don´t show Lock screen notifications
Notification content
We can decide to what extent we allow notification previews on the lock screen of the Xiaomi smartphone, for example, whether to preview a new message or hide content. The display format can be set as follows:
- Show notification nontent
- Show notifications but hide content
- Don´t show Lock screen notifications
Note: The option "Show notifications but hide content" is only visible if a screen lock is set.
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Notifications
- Tap on Lock screen notifications
- Tap on Format
- Choose Show notificaction content or Show notifications but hide content
Camera Quick Launch
If we activate this function, we can start the Xiaomi smartphone's camera directly from the lock screen without having to unlock the device, simply by double press the volume down button.
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Always-on display & Lock screen
- Enable or disable Launch Camera
Dual Clock
If we change the region on the Xiaomi smartphone, a second clock is displayed on the lock screen when the times differ, and this feature can be turned on/off and the region of the second clock can be changed.

- Tap on Date & time
- Enable or disable Dual clock
