Auto-correction

The Xiaomi device's auto-correction feature makes it extremely easy to use while typing. Despite all this, it can happen that the Xiaomi smartphone does not insert the desired word and thus, even if rarely, funny content is created. We can decide for ourselves whether the auto-correction should be enabled or disabled.

Step 1:  Open the  Settings
Step 2:  Tap on  Additional settings
Step 3:  Tap on  Languages & input
Step 4:  Tap on  Manage keyboards
Step 5:  Open the  Settings
Step 6:  Tap on  Text correction
Step 7:  Enable or disable  Auto-correction

Pop-up at keystroke

For example, when we write a message in Messenger, each letter we tap is highlighted or shown as a short pop-up, and we can turn this feature on or off in the Xiaomi smartphone's keyboard settings.

Block offensive words

When this feature is enabled, we do not receive word suggestions for any offensive words from the Xiaomi smartphone, such as swear words or curses.

Auto-capitalization

If this feature is enabled on the Xiaomi smartphone, the first word of each sentence is automatically capitalized, which greatly increases the speed of keyboard input.

Enable or disable spell check

If spell checking is enabled, misspelled words on the Xiaomi smartphone are marked as you type. Unlike auto-correcting, spell checking only marks the word and does not correct it. This feature can be turned on/off in the settings.

Double-space full stop

If this function is enabled on the Xiaomi smartphone, double-tapping the space bar inserts a dot followed by a space, which makes it easier and faster at entering textes.
