Auto-correction
The Xiaomi device's auto-correction feature makes it extremely easy to use while typing. Despite all this, it can happen that the Xiaomi smartphone does not insert the desired word and thus, even if rarely, funny content is created. We can decide for ourselves whether the auto-correction should be enabled or disabled.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Additional settings
- Tap on Languages & input
- Tap on Manage keyboards
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Text correction
- Enable or disable Auto-correction
Pop-up at keystroke
For example, when we write a message in Messenger, each letter we tap is highlighted or shown as a short pop-up, and we can turn this feature on or off in the Xiaomi smartphone's keyboard settings.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Additional settings
- Tap on Languages & input
- Tap on Manage keyboards
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Preferences
- Enable or disable Popup on keypress
Block offensive words
When this feature is enabled, we do not receive word suggestions for any offensive words from the Xiaomi smartphone, such as swear words or curses.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Additional settings
- Tap on Languages & input
- Tap on Manage keyboards
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Text correction
- Enable or disable Block offensive words
Auto-capitalization
If this feature is enabled on the Xiaomi smartphone, the first word of each sentence is automatically capitalized, which greatly increases the speed of keyboard input.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Additional settings
- Tap on Languages & input
- Tap on Manage keyboards
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Text correction
- Enable or disable Auto capitalization
Enable or disable spell check
If spell checking is enabled, misspelled words on the Xiaomi smartphone are marked as you type. Unlike auto-correcting, spell checking only marks the word and does not correct it. This feature can be turned on/off in the settings.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Additional settings
- Tap on Languages & input
- Tap on Manage keyboards
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Text correction
- Enable or disable Spell check
Double-space full stop
If this function is enabled on the Xiaomi smartphone, double-tapping the space bar inserts a dot followed by a space, which makes it easier and faster at entering textes.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Additional settings
- Tap on Languages & input
- Tap on Manage keyboards
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Text correction
- Enable or disable Double-space period
