By default, the current date is automatically obtained from the network, but if we want to change this on the Xiaomi smartphone afterwards, we have to disable the automatic date and time feature.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Additional settings
- Tap on Date & time
- Disable Use network-provided time
- Tap on Date
- Set the date and tap OK
Set time manually
As already mentioned with the date, the time is also obtained automatically from the network; to set the time manually on the Xiaomi smartphone, the automatic date and time function must be disabled.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Additional settings
- Tap on Date & time
- Disable Use network-provided time
- Tap on Time
- Set the time and tap OK
Change the region
The region is automatically set by default by the Xiaomi smartphone, so if we are on vacation, for example, we can set the region manually if desired.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Additional settings
- Tap on Region
- Choose a region
Time format
The time format is used by default, based on the language setting or system language. If you want the time
format to be displayed regardless of the language, you can change it in the Xiaomi smartphone's settings, where you can manually select either 12-hour format or 24-hour format (AM/PM).

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Additional settings
- Tap on Date & time
- Tap on Time format
- Choose 12-/24-hour or Auto (based on system language)
Time zone
The timezone or region is taken from the current carrier network. When you connect to a network on the other side of the world, the timezone is also automatically adjusted. We can also change it manually on our Xiaomi smartphone. To do this, we disable the automatic timezone and select another timezone if desired.
Note: In this guide we will disable the network-provided timezone and select a different region with its timezon. The mentioned steps are for illustration purposes only.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Additional settings
- Tap on Date & time
- Disable Use network-provided time zone
- Tap on Select time zone
- Tap on Region
- Choose a region
- Choose the time zone

- Tap on Date & time
